AMBALA: Naraingarh Police have registered a case against the owner of a private hospital near Parshuram Chowk at Naraingarh in Ambala district, which was functioning without a license.
The case first came to the fore after a person lodged a complaint against the hospital on the CM grievances window about a month ago.
According to information, Karnail Singh, a resident of Tibbi Majra village in Raipur Rani (Naraingarh), had about a month ago lodged a complaint against the owner of the Sai Hospital, Rajiv Garg, for allegedly running the hospital without any license.
The hospital was inaugurated here in May 2017.
Acting on the complaint of Karnail Singh, the district health department had ordered a departmental investigation into the matter by a team of doctors of Naraingarh’s government hospital. The SMO Dr Ram Prakash informed that the accusations were found to be true, following which police were informed and a case of fraud was lodged. “The accused has been running the hospital illegally and playing with the lives of innocent people,” said SMO Dr Ram Prakash.
Meanwhile, acting on the complaint, police have registered a case under Section 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others), 420 (cheating) of the IPC and under 15 (2), 15 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
“Although the case is directly linked to fraud, police were still investigating the case,” said Naraingarh SHO Kamaljeet Singh.
